I suppose a lot of us have already had the "nudity issue".

Now here's some real life legislation on the topic:

Wes, I don't think being Catholic has anything to with either of those stories. And if you read the story you linked to, you will see that the microchip technology is being developed by a US company. You will also see it contains recommendations by US government departments that all citzens carry biometric identification. You will also see that it says that Persident Bush (who is not Catholic, as far as I know) has:

"worked consistently to integrate our economy and security system with that of Mexico. And of course, he has presided over the creation of an immense Homeland Security department with an open-ended mandate to treat U.S. citizens — not foreign terrorists — as the chief threat to public order."

Instead of smearing entire groups, such as Catholics or Mexicans, try seeing that there are "bogus" things going on in all cultures and that race or nationality has nothing to do with it.

Or alternatively, choose your sources more carefully to back up what you really want to say.

Apparently it's being challenged on constitutional grounds, because if you can't travel you can't meet and meeting is protected by the constitution... or something like that.

Hello,

I Would attribute it to tha neo-conservative agenda. Many claim at least the movement was Jewish, i know it to be tremendously Catholic. I realise of course that authoratarian acts like bio-I.D.'s arent a Catholic thing. However i also realise that Catholics play a role in Mexico...and in tha neo-conservative movement in America.

Actually, the neo-conservative movement is dominated by Protestants. And I've never before heard anyone suggest it was Jewish in origin. They called it the "Christian Coalition" for a reason. emoticon

Seriously, I don't feel that avatars depicting women as sexual objects are appropriate to the tone of this board, any more than an avatar mocking a particular religion or race would be. I did think on it a while before coming to that decision. I appreciate Wes's contributions to discussions. However, I don't want his contributions to result in others feeling uncomfortable contributing due to a sexist avatar.
