Re: The meaning of life
life is a test, and so is the next life, and the one after that and the life after that one too. the test is never ending and spans over millions of years. souls have always been around. none of us are "new" to the universe. i dont think that souls are just created, i do believe however that souls can be torn apart and fused with others or just simply torn apart and split up among life in the universe. the force that drives my body to type this very second has been around since the beginning of time. like matter, souls can not be created nor destroyed. thinking this way leads to believeing that every person living on this planet use to be part of the same soul. through being split apart we've lost much of the power we use to have.
Conclusion: we all long for our souls to be one again. life is just the cornor piece of a million piece puzzle, whats the meaning of the cornor piece of a puzzle? its useless without the other parts, pointless and confusing when not put in the right order with the other pieces.
this is not limited to just earth. its impossible for there NOT to be other life out there considering how huge our galaxy is alone. do i think think that they are here now? ofchorse not. its very hard to travel between solar systems. well... unless you consider wormholes, then one could travel the universe but it could destroy a planet just trying to make one stable enough to get a person through.
if none of these ideas are popular to anyone then maybe you should stick with the easy answer. which is: "the meaning of life is procreation". for someone whos trying to aviod alot of thinking the real short term plan is procreation. because in the end, when its all said and done, procreation is the only meaning we can understand in one lifetime so stick with that.
