What did he tell you about it? That must be quite interesting, to hear stories of that nature from someone who witnessed it firsthand.

my grand father is dead. he would tell us about how it was unusual for it to be warm in mid march epescially in illinois.
he was only 12 yrs old. he told us that the clouds in the horizon didnt look right to him. he remembers that telling his mom but she replied its just a "early spring storm". he was home from school that day because had been become sick. my grand father noticed that the clouds were getting thicker by the minute. as the darkness gets closer he saids he heard ear shattering claps of thunder and saw a awsome and fearsome display of lightning. in all of his life has never seen anything like this he told us. it was good thing they had a cellar becasue twisters were common but not that common as in texas or oklahoma. his father made it home just in time. he was alarmed because of the darkness and concerned. as they got in the storm cellar he took one peak and said it looked like a monstrous cloud eating the ground coming at tramendous speed. they had a hard time opening the door because of debris. but finally when they had opened the door. to them what was houses and buildings, churches, schools, looked even then a warzone it looked like hell on earth as described it.
