dyslexia and its role
this isnt a widley belived theory, but as far as im concerned it makes sence
this is the basic idea (as explaind by a 14 year old dyslexic boy, aka me)
before history, when man lived more in tribes and packs, there were 3 main divisions; worker, hunter and thinker. workers stayed back from the hunt, looking after the younger humans, hunters did all the hunting and thinkers lead the whole thing, the thinkers were the dyslexic ones - the leaders, sicnce they may not have been as strong or fast as the hunters, but they were better in other areas (the main identification of dyslexia)
as the hunters were off hunting and the workers worked the thinkers had time to gase at the stars and wonder, possibly leading to religion - noone knows realy, but the thing is the dyslexics helped man kind evolve and create new gadjets etc.
however, in recent years, the hunters and workers have taken over, since there are less dyslexic people. it was seen as almost a desise for a while, dyslexics wernt understood in the sameway noone but dyslexics understood dyslexia.
still, people dont understand dyslexia - except dyslexics, anyway - the mind is different between 'normal' and dyslexics, a dyslexic can ramble for ages and only other dyslexics will understand what s/he is saying.
as dyslexia is getting recognised we dyslexics are getting better recognised, we are making our way back to the top.
the human 'world' was designed mainly by dyslexics for the hunters and workers, however it turned against us and we have become isolated, but we are coming back.
my counciler (whos dyslexic himself) says to people;
"im dyslexic, its not a lable, its an explination"
