Go to Control Panel > Change Miscellaneous Settings and tick on the "Warn me by email when an Inbox Private Message is received" parameter.

There you have it. Everytime a PM is sent to you, your mailbox will catch it. (Provided that you have set your email client to check for new mail at regular intervals, say, every 5 minutes or so)...
