Re: alpha! your cool side panel? If you know HTML, you can do it by entering some code in the "custom html" part of the board layout control panel. You need to set up a two-cell table with the side panel in a left hand cell and the main forum in a right hand cell.
If you don't know html... um... it's going to take so much explaining that the answer is probably "no"
