Lazy, eh? Well, here's a little tip for ya: Have ALL windows MAXIMIZED and switch between them using the buttons on the task bar. Now, should you for some reason want to get to a COMPLETELY uncluttered desktop, while keeping all those windows open, all you have to do is to right-click on an empty space on the taskbar, select <minimize all windows> and there you have it!. Your precious desktop and all...

Yes, but it's some mouse movement and one more click away.
I even know how to switch between programs via alt+tab, but... Word doesn't need all of the screen to show a document properly. (And I had carpal tunnel problems in both wrists, so I watch how often I click and move the mouse.)
